Registration of Shops and establishment in Navi Mumbai,
Thane, Panvel is mandatory under Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act.
Gumasta is governed by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai under the
Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act 1948 for other regions there are state
government Municipal Corporation responsible for providing license. This act
enables the registration and obtaining of certificate from Municipal
Corporation for your new shop/ business
This
certificate also known as “Gumasta License” under Shop and Establishments
Act. The procedure is being made easy and convenient through online portal. for
new shop registration, renewal, duplicate or cancellation.

2 Photo
Residential Proof- Electricity Bill.
OFFICE ADDRESS PROOF - In case of Ownership Property - Light
Bill / Property Tax Receipt / Sale Deed /Society bill is to be attached.
In case of Rented Property- Lease Agreement AND LIGHT BILL.
Whereas for Partnership Firm- Partnership deed, Pan of
partnership, all partners list with their respective name and address proof.
Rather in case of a Private Company- Certified MOA &
AOA, Pan of company, Directors list with their respective names and address
proof, Resolution to be certified and attached, Authority letter in name of
signing officer.
If Charitable Trust, then is Name of the Trustee along with
Certificate (Copy Charity Commissioner) attached
If Cooperative, then is Registration Copy of the Registrar
of Cooperative Society attached
If Bank, then is RBI Permission Copy attached
In case of Proprietary firm / Partnership / Company
Undertaking (refer Annexure C attached below) is required.
